An Open Apology

Greetings!

Today, I went to some jewelry stores looking for a pentacle charm and as I was asking about it, I noticed the strange look that the employees gave me in each store. Some of them didn't know what I was asking for while the others recommended some other types of charms, like the Star of David, I could tell that they just wanted to make a sale since they didn't know the difference. I wasn't sure if they knew that these symbols were not just "pretty charms" instead of representations of different concepts and beliefs.

Declutter Your Life

Greetings!

These past days I've been feeling uneasy with my living surroundings. Ever since I started this new approach to life in general, I feel like I just have too much going on, not only materialistically speaking but emotionally as well. Have you ever felt like you just need to... declutter your life?

What I'm Looking for in my Spiritual Path

Greetings!

As I venture on the journey of finding my spiritual path, there some standards that should be met by whichever path I choose. Some people might say to just go with the flow and embrace whatever comes to you but I think that sometimes one should at least set certain facts about one's beliefs before jumping into any spiritual path.

Today, I will share some of the things I'm looking for regarding spirituality and beliefs. These are:

Discovering Pantheism

Greetings!

Today I'm sharing my research on Pantheism

One of my most important beliefs while on this journey is the acknowledgement of nature and the universe. Also, it's important to me that the path I take contains no anthropomorphized separate deities to worship as you would have in traditional religions. The reason why, is that I currently don't associate myself with any specific deity. I don't believe that there is one deity above humanity which we must worship or follow as the one true god. While I was doing my research, I came across the Pantheism term and started studying it.

It happens to combine these two thoughts into one belief, which is the closest I've found to what I believe in. Pantheism is defined as:

The Concept of Spiritual Energy

Greetings!

Energy is one of those concepts that is very broad. There are many forms of energy but this post will concentrate on Spiritual Energy. To begin, let's take a look at the definition of "energy" first:

1 a : dynamic quality <narrative energy>
b : the capacity of acting or being active <intellectual energy>
c : a usually positive spiritual force <the energy flowing through all people>
2 : vigorous exertion of power : effort <investing time and energy>
3 : a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change within the system and usually regarded as the capacity for doing work
4 : usable power (as heat or electricity); also : the resources for producing such power

As I venture on my journey of searching my spiritual path, I have to readjust and reinvent myself and many concepts that I used to live by or neglect. One of this concepts is Energy. My past religious background did not embrace spiritual energy whatsoever, it just didn't exist. Energy was merely perceived as the scientific aspect and there was no thought or process that involved any other type of it. Now that I'm learning new things as well as experimenting, I find that I have to re-examine the subject and give it a new meaning in my life.

Taking a bit from the definition I provided above, I consider energy in two ways:

Eclectic Paganism Explained

Greetings!

What exactly is Eclectic Paganism?

To comprehend what encompasses this term, we must first understand what the words mean separately:

1. Eclectic: Deriving ideas (or a person who derives ideas), style or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

2. Paganism: a broad group of indigenous and historical polytheistic religious traditions—primarily those of cultures known to the classical world. In a wider sense, it has also been understood to include any non-Abrahamic folk/ethnic religion.

Now that we have that cleared up, we can begin to dissect the term.

What This Blog is About

Greetings!

Welcome to my spirituality blog.

Since this is the first time you're here, I thought I'd explain a little bit about the topics you will encounter on this blog.

First and foremost, I'd like to say that I'm at the beginning of finding a new spiritual path for my life. I still don't know where it might lead or even which one it will be. All I know, for now, is that I want to get rid of negativity and embrace more positivism in my everyday dealings.

The most predominant topic you will find here is, of course, Spirituality. By that I don't mean "religion", I think I have to clarify that from the beginning. I'd like to embrace the universal energies that surround me and that I have yet to find.

The next topic will be Nature. I will merely do random posts about it but it will be mostly pictures, as I enjoy photography as a hobby.

I guess I could classify my next topic as Critical Thinking. This will be observations, opinions and research I might do on certain topics of interest, not necessarily entirely about spirituality but definitely with a path towards it.

Those are what I have in mind so far, so if you enjoy any of those topics and like to engage in exchange of opinions you are very welcome to read and comment! Since this blog is as new as my new journey in search of my life path, you will be right along with me on that journey should you decide to keep reading, I hope you do!

I'd like to learn as much as possible about other people's beliefs and life paths. I think it's wise to know other types of perspectives and learn from each other. Everyone is welcome as long as there's always respect towards one another.

This is all for now and I hope you stick around for the ride. :)

Have a wonderful day/night and until next time!
